Doing up Mardi Gras Right - *Goddess Apparel* Style!

Wow! Has it really been that long since my last post?! I will have to work on that.

Speaking of work, I spent the last couple of weeks waiting for that fun festival of Mardi Gras...or Carnival...or Fasching...or..., well, you get the idea.  And after dreaming in purples, greens, and golds, I realized that creativity was calling and I had best get out my drawing board. Let me share with you the results.

First, comes *Goddess* 2019 Mardi Gras Lady Mesh Cocktail Dress.
Marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Goddess-2019-Mardi-Gras-Ladies-Cocktail-Dress/16687650
I began with the goal of making something sexy, yet elegant. This is the result. My Mardi Gras Lady wears a mini dress with such a high slit that adding panties for those who like a little modesty a pretty great challenge. I am pretty pleased with what I came up with. The panties provide modesty, but do not interfere with the cut of the dress. I chose a colorful fabric that reminds me of the signature Mardi Gras beads that get tossed about. I added a knot of sheer fabric to create a cascade falling from the left hip, giving a sense of balance for the high slit on the right. The boots and mask, decorated with plumes, ostrich feathers and ribbons, are also part of this lovely ensemble perfect for any casual or semi-formal dance club where your date might want to take you.

I didn't want the fellas to feel left out, so after putting the last "stitch" into my Mardi Gras Lady, I took on the task of creating a perfect outfit for the Mardi Gras Gent...*Goddess* 2019 Mardi Gras Gent Mesh Casual Suit.
Marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Goddess-2019-Mardi-Gras-Gent-Mesh/16689060
I began with the same beaded fabric, turning that into the vest and jacket lining that shows up so well on the rolled up cuffs and pockets. The unbuttoned striped shirt enhances that casual feel. I added a pair of dark gray slacks and shoes to keep the dressed up-casual feeling going. And the men's mesh mask is the perfect addition to give it that Mardi Gras flair, don't you think?

And just see what these two designs look like together!

After quite a successful set of outfits, I just couldn't leave well-enough alone. The concept of creating a formal design for Mardi Gras just wouldn't get out of my mind. so let me introduce you to my Mardi Gras formals.

First appeared the *Goddess* 2019 Mardi Gras Formal Lady Mesh Gown.
Marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Goddess-2019-Mardi-Gras-Lady-Formal-Mesh-Gown/16688120
This gown flows beautifully down the female form, catching every curve. The back is open to the waist and highlighted by an interwoven mesh of sparkling gold bands. The glittery gold edges the gown's bodice and hem as well has outlining the slit cut up the left leg. A delicate pair of gold panties in mesh appliers add that touch of modesty. The matching mesh mask is lovely with the flow of flexi plumes and ribbons.

With such a lovely lady, her escort needs an equally elegant outfit. Here is *Goddess* 2019 Mardi Gras Gentleman's Tuxedo in Mesh.
Marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Goddess-2019-Mardi-Gras-Gent-Mesh-Tuxedo-wTails/16689063
Not just any tuxedo, this formal suit sports a pair of tails in deep purple with satin lapels. The gold shirt is highlighted by a vest and a jaunty bow tie, done in the same fabric as his Mardi Gras lady's gown. The mesh mask makes this outfit sing Mardi Gras!

Just imagine a couple walking into a Mardi Gras ballroom in this elegant outfit.

I feel quite a sense of accomplishment as I sit back in my chair, done with that urge to fling purple, green, and gold clothe around my "sewing room." I hope you feel the same enjoyment I do when I see the finished products...and relax.

Starting the New Year Off with Roses

Introducing HeartsRose

Well, it's 2013...and a good 2013 it is so far.  It is hard to be otherwise when family and friends are all doing well. As I contemplated the designs I had in mind...sifting through to find just the right place to start, I had a friend give some direction. My friend Lilly was in search of a wedding gown...something in lace...something made with love.  And thus *Goddess* HeartsRose Wedding Gown came to be.

This gown begins with a skirt with layers of satin and rose edged netting, flowing back into an extended train. The bodice is made of a sheer lace with rose design that shows off the lace bra beneath it. Poofs of silk and netting work their way down the arm, ending in the rose lace sleeves. The veil is attached with three white roses and features rose netting falling down the back.  As this gown is for a wedding, I am withholding release for another few weeks, so Lilly can be the first to wear it.

If you know my designs, you know that I cannot be satisfied with just one version.  After completing the wedding gown, I decided to create a formal gown that could be used as a bridesmaids dress, complementing the wedding dress.  Here is what I created...the *Goddess* HeartsRose Gown:

The rose lace is the element that ties this dress to the wedding dress.  The same lace creates the bodice and sleeves.  Again, the bra (and panties) show through to add a nice touch of sex appeal. The skirt has been slimmed down to that of a prom dress and is made up of a soft satin. The waist of the skirt takes an unsual angled form with a jeweled belt angling in front and back....highlighting the woman's form in an especially nice way. Beneath this, you will find panties, stockings, and garters to match.  Made in 18 different colors.

Sexy, huh?

Once I finished the gown, my eye was caught by the line of the lace jacket top.  To highlight that, I came up with one more design - *Goddess* HeartsRose Pantsuit.

The jacket became the focal point as I highlighted the roses.  To show it off, I created lowrise satin pants. The above outfit is actually made of two different color sets. I have made this in 18 different color sets that mix and match beautifully. You may choose to wear all one color or to mix and match...the black with the white, say, or the teal with the aqua, or in the case of this picture, the hot pink with the pink.  Look for this gown up on the Marketplace and in SecondLife soon.

I am quite proud of my beginning to the 2013 design year of *Goddess* Apparel*

A Christmas Offering

Add Some Sex Appeal to Your Holiday

As the weather turns colder and the colored lights begin decking every house and lamp post, the feeling of the holidays really fills the air. My latest design is an attempt to capture that feeling...the flavor and joy of the season. And to that end...May I offer you a look at *Goddess* Chrisy Holiday?

This outfit captures the warmth of the season with its vivid red and green satin. Yet it doesn't stop there. The short mini skirt and bare midriff simply cry out sexy!  The skirt is mesh and designed out of satin with stripes of color running around the skirt edge.  The jacket, also made of satin, uses the complementary color on the lapels and collar. Even the undergarments are two-toned in red and green satin and embroidery.  And the heels also carry the satin ribbons along the sides.

The set contains all of the items in both red and green to allow for mixing and matching the coordinating parts. So so many options!

*Goddess* Chrisy Holiday is also available in single color sets: Red or Green.

December Gift for *Goddess* Apparel Group Members

As we enter the holiday season and hurry and scurry to get all of our RL and SL shopping done, wrapped, and delivered, I would like to offer this gift as a thank you from me to the wonderful group members that have been so supportive of me and of *Goddess Apparel*.

This is, of course, for the ladies in the *Goddess Apparel* group. And OOooooo will it look lovely on you!  The jacket has sculpted lapels and collar and a prim lower edge...as well as the seasonal candy cane  :)   The skirt is mesh and comes in 5 sizes, so you can find that perfect fit.  And oh the undergarments... bra and panties done in blue and embroidered with silver roses. Matching high heels complete the look. VERY FESTIVE as well as giving you a holiday option that is not the usual red and green.

I will be putting out the men's December Group Gift by next weekend, so keep an eye out. I am hoping that it will match the ladies' gift and make a nice coordinating ensemble. You will just have to pick up your group gifts and go out dancing together...and let me know what you think.

Wishing you a Blessed Holiday Season!

Fiona Collection

Formal * Cocktail * Lingerie

Forgive my delay in getting this blog out, but I have been a busy little seamstress. Instead of bringing out just a single outfit, I want to introduce you to a complete collection: *Goddess* Fiona.

This look began with a cocktail dress inspired by the fun and personality of Fiona from "Shrek." I wanted to capture her love of life....I hope I did.  Here is your peek at *Goddess* Fiona Cocktail Dress.

Fringed in scallops of black lace at both its upper edge and hem, this short cocktail dress is made of folded satin. It outlines the feminine form as it stretches tightly across a woman's luscious curves. The dress is strapless and dips down low in the back. The cropped jacket is a polished leather and is a perfect complement to this short, sassy cocktail dress.  The jacket has sculpted lapels and collar and a prim lower edge. I wish the picture could show the back view, so you could see the play of lace, leather and skin...very eye catching!

Once I felt satisfied with the look of the Fiona Cocktail, I looked for a design to bring this onto a formal dance floor. Allow me to share *Goddess* Fiona Formal.

This gown shares some characteristics with the cocktail version, but let me show off its differences. The cropped jacket is still sewn in polished leather, but the sleeves have been cropped as well with lace scallops edging the cuffs. The sculpted lapels and collar and the prim lower edge have been trimmed with the same lace, creating lovely waves of scallops as they circle a woman's form. The bodice of the gown is still the strapless satin with lace edging. Yet instead of a mini skirt, the Fiona Formal moves into a long prim skirt with an angled waist band of jewels. the satin of the skirt flows down in a slender profile to end in scallops of the same black lace used on the bodice. The lace creates an elegant edge as it brushes the floor. (And you don't need to worry about the alpha prims reacting and disappearing on you as there is an inner layer of fabric to halt such negative interaction.) I hope you find this gown as elegant as I do.

Now, no collection of women's clothing would be complete without considering the undergarments. Thusly, I have created *Goddess* Fiona Teddy.

As you can see, this lingerie set consists of a lace teddy and lace edged stockings with a very sexy seam running up the back. The teddy fits your form snugly beneath the bodice of either dress, and you can see by the back of the teddy how deep the drop in the back of the dress must be. The lace is simply a lovely decoration over a woman's delicious skin, letting the true beauty and glow of her skin show quite nicely. Can you imagine his enjoyment at finding this beneath the cocktail dress or formal gown after an evening out together?

Oh, and I have created matching high heels and knee-high boots to match.

An Offering for Halloween

*Goddess* Halloween Nymph in Black

I thought I would throw out a suggestion for your wardrobe as you face the myriad of Halloween parties that keep popping up this month. Let me introduce you to *Goddess* Halloween Nymph in Black.

This is a daring outfit with a couple of skirt options, each with a bare leg. The skirts include a strip script that allows another to rip if from your feminine form...only with your permission, of course. And it gives you an option to set a ban list if you want to stop someone from trying to interact with your skirt. The bodice is decorated with delicate fall leaves while spider webs intertwine on the flowing black fabric. The deep plunging top compliments any form, and the allure of the deep back can't be resisted. The underlayer is sheer, yet still provides a touch more modesty as it covers up to the neck with a collar of leaves. The outfit also two glitch pant options for the two lengths of skirts. Each pants can be worn without the skirt as well for a very sexy look.
The outfit also comes in an orange.  Here is *Goddess* Halloween Nymph in Orange.

Mix Netting, Satin Ribbons, and a Strip Script...

Baby Dolls Have Never Looked So Good!

After putting out those togas, I just couldn't resist taking dive into lingerie.  This time I walked a bit on the wild side in my design. Let me introduce you to *Goddess* Yvette Baby Dolls.

This little number begins with a satin bra detailed with lace and ribbons. The baby doll skirt is made from netting with ribbons weaving around the bottom edge. The skirt also contains a strip script that allows others to attempt to remove it, but don't worry - no one may take it off without the wearer's permission. The garter belt continues the lace and ribbons and attaches to the leggings made of the same sexy netting. But the real pizazz comes in the panties.  This set of baby dolls has two pair.  One is satin and lace...very sexy.  But the other has a keyhole cut into it for the very daring...too daring to show in this blog. Altogether this is an extremely little set of baby dolls.

*Goddess* Yvette Baby Dolls are already available in Second Life at *Goddess Apparel* in eleven different colors.
